When mentees are facing difficulty or want to talk about delicate issues, mentors and program staff can feel challenged to show up in a nurturing and helpful manner. 

Join mentoring expert Dustianne North (California Mentoring Partnership) for a moderated panel featuring Julia Pryce (Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work), mentoring scholar and co-developer of the Mentoring FAN model (in collaboration with Linda Gilkerson), which is based on observations of mentor-mentee dyads and provides a roadmap for adults in conversation with youth when difficult issues are at hand. Two young adult leaders will also offer their reflections and strategies.
