This year, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and its partners are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA), enacted on September 7, 1974. The anniversary theme is, "Looking Back, Moving Forward: Celebrating 50 Years of the JJDPA."

Throughout 2024, the Office will engage in education and outreach activities highlighting advancements made in juvenile justice reform over the last 50 years, while encouraging stakeholders to join OJJDP in our work to reimaging a youth justice system of tomorrow that focuses on support, healing, and restorative justice.
