The Family Based Justice Center delivers training and technical assistance to states, communities, local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Tribal governments to implement or enhance family-based alternative sentencing programs, which allows caregivers in the justice system to remain united with their families.
The Family Based Justice Center provides universal, targeted, and tailored assistance for OJJDP grantees and the field. The Center has identified best practices and model programs for interested parties and those currently implementing programming in their jurisdictions. With the center's tools, communities will have the resources to implement quality family-based alternative programs to reduce family separation due to incarceration.
