The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) announced awards of more than $341 million to combat addiction nationwide. OJJDP awarded more than $19 million to support its Family Drug Court Program and more than $5 million to support its Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program.

President Donald J. Trump proclaimed October as National Substance Abuse Prevention Month. OJJDP is committed to supporting states and communities as they work to prevent and treat substance abuse and assist in the recovery of youth and families who have been impacted.
May is National Drug Court Month. OJJDP-funded drug courts help youth and families overcome the effects of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. In 2019, OJJDP awarded more than $19 million to drug court programs nationwide.
