An Archive user's guide provides a list of the variables contained within a contributing jurisdiction's data set. Included in the user guide are variable definitions as well as code lists associated with the variables. These guides do not provide information about the format of the file, nor how the file was created. For more information about these topics, please contact the Manager of Data Collection at [email protected]
The Archive houses two types of data sets. Annual disposition data files contain case-level records for all referrals disposed by the court in a calendar year. Birth cohort data files are constructed based on the youth's date of birth and contain a record for every referral in a juvenile's official court career.
Contact the Manager of Data Collection at [email protected] for more information regarding jurisdictions with available birth cohort files.
