Webinar To Discuss Reducing Demand for the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Minors

On May 30, 2017, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. ET, OJJDP, in collaboration with the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, will present "Reducing Demand for the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Minors in Your Community." This webinar will address how reducing demand should be the focus of a community's response to the commercial sexual exploitation of minors. The presenter will discuss a Seattle coalition that is working to end commercial sexual exploitation by reducing sex buying. The webinar will cover strategies that include high-volume online deterrence, social media, community and high school education, business and media engagement, law enforcement stings, and a 10-week class for individuals convicted of soliciting sex.
