OJJDP recently introduced a Data Snapshot series on its Statistical Briefing Book to disseminate current research and statistical information about youth and the juvenile justice system. Each one-page snapshot focuses on a specific topic and highlights policy-relevant findings. This new Data Snapshot focuses on trends and characteristics of youth homicide victims based on data collected by the FBI's Supplementary Homicide Reports.
Developed for OJJDP by the National Center for Juvenile Justice, the research division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the Statistical Briefing Book offers easy online access to statistics on a variety of juvenile justice topics.
