The Coalition for Juvenile Justice has released "Probation Reform: A Toolkit for State Advisory Groups," a new resource to help State Advisory Groups (SAGs) advance probation reform for system-involved youth.
The toolkit aims to help SAGs better understand the benefits of diversion programs as alternatives to probation for system-involved youth. It includes recommendations for implementing probation reform and offers examples of SAGs engaging in diversion strategies.
The toolkit suggests ways SAGs can build partnerships in their diversion efforts with youth, families and communities, practitioners, and policymakers.
