Today at 2 p.m. ET, the U.S. Department of Justice will live-stream the National Missing Children's Day ceremony honoring the heroic and exemplary efforts of agencies, organizations, and individuals to protect children. Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General Edward C. O'Callaghan will give opening remarks.
Office of Justice Programs Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Matt Dummermuth and OJJDP Administrator Caren Harp will present awards to 17 law enforcement officers and 2 firefighters. Additionally, a fifth grade student from Kentucky will be recognized as the National Missing Children's Day poster contest winner.
