On October 15, 2020, the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP), the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office), and the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) will transition to one grants management system for all three grant components and a new payment management system. The new Justice Grants System (JustGrants) will replace OJP and OVW's Grants Management System (GMS), as well as the COPS Office's NexGen system. OJP, the COPS Office, and OVW will also transition from the Grants Payment Request System (GPRS) to the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) system for grant payments. JustGrants and ASAP will provide DOJ grant applicants and grantees across agencies, including OJJDP, with modernized grants and payment management systems.
