On October 26, 2022, the Department of Justice will convene the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (Council) from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET in Washington, DC. The Council is an independent body within the federal government that coordinates federal programs related to youth justice, delinquency, and missing and exploited children.
Speakers will include Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Amy L. Solomon, and OJJDP Administrator Liz Ryan, who also serves as Vice Chair of the Council. A panel of youth from the National Juvenile Justice Network's Young Justice Leaders program will also share their perspectives on youth justice reform.
The meeting is open to the public and will be available via online video conference. Registration is required.
