Coordinating Council To Hold Meeting

Coordinating Council

On September 12, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, the Department of Justice will convene the Federal Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in Washington, DC. The Council coordinates federal programs related to juvenile delinquency prevention and missing and exploited children. OJJDP Administrator Caren Harp will chair this meeting.

Council members will discuss opportunities for federal partnerships that support delinquency prevention and intervention programs for youth. The Council will also hear from Clyde Van Dyke, 18, of Johnson City, New York, about youth leadership development through the 4-H National Mentoring Program. Van Dyke is the winner of the 2019 4-H Youth in Action Pillar Award for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

The meeting is open to the public. Register to attend in person or online.
