The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), in collaboration with OJJDP, has released “Methodological Research to Support the National Survey of Children’s Exposure to Violence.” This report describes a project funded by BJS and OJJDP that assessed the OJJDP-sponsored National Survey of Children’s Exposure to Violence (NatSCEV). The report recommends alternative approaches and design options for administering the survey to increase response rates, including an online questionnaire, online panel-based survey, and enhanced youth participation.
