Bureau of Justice Statistics Releases 2017 School Crime and Safety Report

The Bureau of Justice Statistics and the National Center for Education Statistics have released "Indicators of School Crime and Safety: 2017." This annual report provides the most recent data on school crime and student safety. The report contains 23 indicators, including violent deaths; nonfatal student and teacher victimization; school environment; fights, weapons, and illegal substances; fear and avoidance; discipline, safety, and security measures; and campus safety and security.
