Join OJJDP on July 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. ET, for “The Civil Rights Movement - Celebrating 60 Years of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Getting Youth Involved” webinar. This webinar is presented as part of OJJDP’s Preventing Youth Hate Crimes & Identity-Based Bullying Initiative.
During the webinar, panelists will discuss the history of the civil rights movement and a program that empowers youth to advocate for civil rights. Participants will also learn about the Community Relations Service (CRS). Established by the Civil Rights Act, CRS is an agency within the Department of Justice that works to resolve community conflicts and prevent and respond to alleged hate crimes.
