Attend the OJJDP Virtual Symposium to Address Youth Hate Crimes and Identity-Based Bullying

OJJDP will host the "Understanding and Preventing Youth Hate Crimes and Identity-Based Bullying" virtual symposium October 27–28, 2021, from 1 to 5 p.m. ET.

Attendees will discuss current trends and research on identity-based bullying, cyberbullying, youth-related hate crimes, and how hate groups use social media and technology to recruit youth. This virtual symposium will also discuss best practices on how law enforcement, communities, schools, and families can work together to build protective factors in youth and help them resist and disengage from extremist hate groups.

The Office of Justice Programs' Acting Assistant Attorney General Amy Solomon and OJJDP Acting Administrator Chyrl Jones will give welcoming remarks.
