Apply Now for OJJDP-funded Community Supervision Training and Technical Assistance

JUVJUST- Crime and Justice Institute

The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI), with support from OJJDP, is providing training and technical assistance (TTA) to selected community supervision agencies and community-based providers to meet the goals of the Second Chance Act.

This 24-month program aims to strengthen community supervision practices, improve outcomes for youth and communities, reduce recidivism, and advance public safety. Training will be available to local, regional, and Tribal agencies and providers in the following areas:

  • Training: Learn how to incorporate evidence-based skills into daily engagement with youth on community supervision.
  • System/Program Assessment: Learn how to evaluate policy, practice, and data to make recommendations for system improvements and/or modifications.
  • Policy Implementation and Sustainability: Receive support developing and implementing desired policy or practice changes and establish strategies to sustain changes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Information Sharing: Support a diverse stakeholder group to establish, plan, and implement identified community supervision goals.

Applicants may apply for more than one TTA option. Applications are due by May 3, 2024
