Who are the Girls and Gender Expansive Young People: Understanding the Data
This webinar, held on June 17, 2024, explored the unique needs of girls and gender-expansive young people in the youth justice system. It outlined research on issues affecting this population, including sex trafficking and exploitation, family violence, substance use disorders, mental health, child welfare system involvement, and reproductive health. The presentation approached these issues using a public health framework and discuss how systems can collaborate to meet the needs of girls and gender-expansive young people in their communities.
