Supporting Vulnerable Youth: Preventing and Combating Bias Based Bullying and Hate Crimes
Held on April 28 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET, OJJDP hosted Supporting Vulnerable Youth: Preventing and Combating Bias Based Bullying and Hate Crimes as part of OJJDP’s Preventing Youth Hate Crimes & Identity-Based Bullying Initiative webinar series.
The webinar, intended for youth justice professionals, increased participant understanding and awareness of bias-based crimes and bullying based on race, ethnicity, religion, body type, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability in schools, communities, and the broader society. Participants learned about ways to counter stereotypes and myths to promote respectful, inclusive, and safe environments for all students and the community at large.
