The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) hosted a listening session January 24–25, 2022, to hear best program practices and personal stories from states, communities, youth, and parents surrounding family-based alternative sentencing programs. This first session held on January 24, 2022, provided an opportunity to provide input to OJJDP about implementing new family-based alternatives nationally. Participants provided input to OJJDP about implementing new family-based alternatives, shared best program practices and evidence-based models, and assessed gaps and challenges in the field.
