Assessing and Improving Trauma Informed Care in a Children’s Advocacy Center
This October 20, 2020 webinar, hosted by Western Regional Children's Advocacy Center and OJJDP's NTTAC, was the last in a series of three webinars that focused on the assessment of children’s advocacy centers as trauma-informed providers of care to children and youth experiencing trauma. This webinar reviewed the use of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) Trauma-Informed Organizational Assessment (TIOA) tool for the assessment of a children’s advocacy center. It discussed how changes in that organization could improve staff skills and services provided to children and youth that have experienced trauma.
