The OJJDP FY 2020 Opioid Affected Youth Initiative (OAYI) will support the efforts of states, communities, tribal jurisdictions, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations and institutions of higher education to implement programs and strategies that identify, respond to, treat, and support children, youth, and families impacted by the opioid epidemic.
The Gang Alternative, Inc. will prevent and reduce youth substance abuse to provide programs and services to youth and their families in South Miami Dade County who have been impacted by opioid addiction. Program objectives include implementing youth-focused, evidence-based, and best practices prevention, intervention, and treatment programs that address middle school youth and their families in the Miami-Dade metro area.
