Iowa's FY 20 Title II Formula Grant

The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act. The purpose of this program is to support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements. Supported activities and efforts may include planning and administration, establishing, operating, coordinating, and evaluating projects directly or through grants and contracts with public and private agencies for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs in the area of juvenile delinquency and programs to improve the juvenile justice system as found in section 221 of the JJDP Act. he Iowa Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning Agency will continue to use grant funding to focus on: State Advisory Group, Juvenile Justice System, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Gender-Specific Services, Disproportionate Minority Contact, and Compliance Monitoring. NCA/NCF
