The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force National Training Program is funded under the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2019, Pub. L. No. 116-6, 133 Stat. 13, 115. Under this program, the goal is to design and deliver entry level and core training to support the ICAC task force network that includes law enforcement, prosecutors, digital forensic specialists, and other related agencies/organizations.

Fox Valley Technical College will utilize grant funds to implement this critical training project for ICAC task forces. The project will: 1) Deliver in-person entry level and core training; 2) Deliver online entry level and core training; and 3) Implement a comprehensive quality assurance system to ensure all training, both in-person and online, is usable, effective and relevant, which includes but is not limited to developing and maintaining a cadre of experts who can conduct training on the national, state and local levels through both traditional and non-traditional teaching modalities, conducting student evaluations, conducting pre- and post-event assessments to measure knowledge and skills, conducting a 6-month post-event assessment to measure retained knowledge, skills and impact resulting from the training and report results to OJJDP, developing new courses in consultation with OJJDP, and providing post-training student support. Project activities include the delivery of 42 in-person computer lab-based entry-level and core training, 8 in-person lecture-based entry-level and core training, ten new webinars, six online-live instructor-led classes, four self-paced online training modules,and 10 instructional videos.
