The Drug Treatment Courts Program builds the capacity of states, state and local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments to enhance pre-existing drug courts or implement new drug courts for individuals with substance abuse problems or co-occurring mental health disorders. Category 1: Juvenile Drug Treatment Courts (JDTCs) will support existing JDTCs to develop and implement strategies to enhance their programs based on the OJJDP JDTC Guidelines.

The Brevard County Juvenile Drug Court will enhance the juvenile drug court program by expanding the treatment component, the Juvenile Addiction and Mental Health Services Program. The goals of this program are to expand the current system of care to serve 28 additional youth per year; implement evidence-based treatment services; implement intensive outpatient services; and implement family engagement activities. All proposed activities will align this program with the OJJDP JDTC Guidelines. CA/NCF
