Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2017, $1,800,000)

The purpose of the Missing and Exploited Children Training and Technical Assistance Program is to build comprehensive, broad-based and adaptable training that will assist all members of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to strengthen their responses to and improve the prosecution of child victimization cases. Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) will provide training and technical assistance to support the activities of MDTs and other child-serving professionals by developing and maintaining a cadre of experts to conduct training on the national, state and local levels through both traditional and nontraditional teaching modalities; conduct evaluations and assessments of training outcomes; and develop new training utilizing cost-effective and innovative learning platforms.
