The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice will strengthen and expand the use of community-based alternatives to out-of-home placement. It will also subgrant funds to local non- profit agencies and/or local units of government to provide alternatives to secure detention for juveniles who are released from law enforcement custody with supervision, or who are in violation of a valid court order and have probation violations.
