The Southern Regional Children's Advocacy Center (SRCAC) will provide training and technical assistance to develop and strengthen Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) and Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Teams (MDTs) in the states that comprise the Southern region. The National Childrens Advocacy Center (NCAC) has over 30 years of experience providing regional or national training and technical assistance to MDTs, CACs and state chapters of CACs. The purpose of the SRCAC project is to provide a full complement of training, technical assistance and information services for developing and established MDTs, local CACs, and state chapter organizations of CACs. The project will focus on innovative development, delivery, and evaluation of services and working collaboratively with other Victims of Child Abuse Act programs. The goals of this project are to provide states and communities access to quality training and technical assistance in assessing community readiness and in developing and strengthening the multidisciplinary approach to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases and in providing evidence based treatment for child abuse victims, including male and female sex trafficking victims; to provide MDTS, CACs, and state chapter organizations of CACs timely, relevant and evidence-based publications and resources; and to coordinate and combine resources available through the Victims of Child Abuse programs for training, technical assistance and publications regarding a multidisciplinary approach to addressing child abuse to benefit multidisciplinary teams and CAC staff. The objectives for each of these goals cover a continuum of training and technical assistance developed to support the growth and improvement of coordinated multidisciplinary responses to child abuse. The training and technical assistance activities proposed for each objective target multidisciplinary teams, CACs and state chapter organizations and are comprised of in person trainings, online resources, onsite technical assistance and resource development and distribution. The SRCAC will use evaluations and/or pre and post testing to track indicators as defined by OJJDPs required performance measures. The SRCAC will submit VOCA program performance measure information as required by OJJDP. CA/NCF
