Iowa PREA - Juvenile Compliance Initiative

Using OJJDP funds, the Iowa Department of Human Rights Division of Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning will fund the Iowa PREA Compliance Project. The goal of the project is to identify juvenile residential facilities that must comply with the PREA standards; review of policies and procedures, training and contracts in those facilities; assisting the Iowa State Training School for Boys in Eldora with a pre-audit review and a PREA audit; and training identified juvenile offender serving agencies on the PREA standards.
