Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2014, $6,127)
Using OJJDP funds, The PRDCR will provide staff training to employees of each institution who are in contact with male and female offenders (correctional officers (adults and juveniles), investigative agents, auditors, medical and mental health employees, contractor's staff and volunteers). In addition, the project will provide offender education, promoting sexual abuse awareness in 100% of the population served by adult and juvenile institutions and educating the correctional population (adults and juveniles) about their rights under the PREA Law and procedures and mechanisms to be followed in sexual abuse reporting and to access victim services.
