2013 Title II (JJDP) Formula Grants Program
Note:
This awardee has received supplemental funding. This award detail page includes information about both the original award and supplemental awards.
The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act of 1974, as amended. The purpose of this program is to support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements through a range of administration, compliance and program activities including those that address juvenile justice issues for Native American Indian tribes.
The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) administers the FY 14 Title II Formula Grants Program. The State Advisory Group (SAG) awards grants to local units of government, non-profits, and faith-based organizations to implement evidenced-based model programming intended to impact priority juvenile justice needs through state and local projects as outlined by the SAG in the 2012-2014 Three Year Comprehensive State Plan. The goals and objectives of funding are to support compliance with Section 223(a)(22) (Disproportionate Minority Contact) of the JJDP Act and to increase the availability and types of prevention, intervention programs and juvenile justice system improvements, and to achieve and maintain compliance with the four core requirements of the JJDP Act.
