Note:
This awardee has received supplemental funding. This award detail page includes information about both the original award and supplemental awards.
The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act of 1974, as amended. The purpose of this program is to support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements through a range of administration, compliance and program activities including those that address juvenile justice issues for Native American Indian tribes.
The West Virginia Division of Justice and Community Services and the State Advisory Group (SAG) will use FY 14 Title II Formula Grant funds to continue to support the following program areas: (09) delinquency prevention; (10) disproportionate minority contact; (27) School Programs; and (28) separation of juveniles from adults. In addition, West Virginia will use funding for planning and administration and SAG activities to support and ensure compliance with JJDP Act's core requirements, address juvenile delinquency, and improve the juvenile justice system. Effectiveness of the funded projects will be measured by the annual collection of identified JJDP performance measurement data and onsite programmatic visits. NCA/NCF
