FY 2013 Title II Formula Grant
Note:
This awardee has received supplemental funding. This award detail page includes information about both the original award and supplemental awards.
The Formula Grants Program is authorized under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act of 1974, as amended. The purpose of this program is to support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts and juvenile justice system improvements through a range of administration, compliance and program activities including those that address juvenile justice issues for Native American Indian tribes.
The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) will use FY 14 formula grant funds to continue efforts to address disproportionate minority contact and make new investments to refine activities to monitor sight and sound separation, jail removal, and the deinstitutionalization of status offenders. IDJC engages public and private organizations and mobilizes citizens to address critical juvenile justice needs within communities statewide. In addition to compliance impacts, IDJC will also focus on other overall priorities of the strategic plan including: Reintegration, Youth Voice, Restorative Justice Practices, and DMC Assessment. IDJC will measure the impact of this plan using performance measures that track both process and outcomes. NCA/NCF
