Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $325,000)

The purpose of this project is for the Phoenix Police Department (PPD) to host the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) Southwest Regional Training Center (SWRTC) to assist the National G.R.E.A.T. Program. To this end, the SWRTC will provide program administrative services to eleven states compromising the G.R.E.A.T. southwest region of the United States: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
