Development Services Group, Inc. (DSG) will continue to provide training and technical assistance (TTA) to support the 10 sites of the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention (NFYVP) to effectively address the pressing issues of gang and youth violence. Continuation funding for this initiative will be directed toward support of TTA in implementation science.
DSG aims to develop a national network of stakeholders and provide Forum sites with tools, resources,training, and TA for addressing youth violence. DSG will utilize the continuation funding for ongoing coordination with OJJDP, Casey Family Programs, and the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) to meet project goals.
Objectives include mobilizing experts to provide customized, successful, and cost-effective TTA; facilitating communication between sites and encourage peer-to-peer training; providing data-driven and evidence-based strategies and practices; and facilitating a national conversation on youth and gang violence. DSG will use continuation funding to provide logistical support for the 10 existing NFYVP sites as well as any additional NFYVP sites to participate in TTA related to sustainability through the application of implementation science. TTA will be provided by NIRN through a separate contract funded and administered by Casey Family Programs.
