The JABG Program for the State of Arkansas is administered by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Youth Services (DYS). As required, Arkansas retains 25% of JABG funds and passes through 75% to units of local government. DYS plans to utilize JABG funds to establish and maintain interagency information sharing programs that enable the juvenile justice system, schools, and social services agencies to make more informed decisions regarding the early identification, control, supervision, and treatment of serious, violent, and/or chronic juvenile offenders.
