Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2012, $8,796,559)
The VOCA Children's Advocacy Centers Subgrant Program will provide funding for a national grant awards program for local children's advocacy center programs, state chapters, and multidisciplinary teams that provide a coordinated investigation and response to child abuse. Children's Advocacy Centers provide a coordinated response to victims of child abuse through multidisciplinary teams. This program is authorized by the Victims of Child Abuse Act, 42 USC Section 13002. The National Children's Alliance will release requests for proposals, as approved by OJJDP, based upon identified national needs and a clearly defined funding strategy. In administering this award, NCA will coordinate its efforts with all other VOCA-funded programs. CA/NCF
