Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $25,000)
OJJDP was established to provide grants, cooperative agreements and other assistance to organizations designated by OJJDP, as authorized by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 2002 (42 U.S.C. Sections 5775.) and statutes appropriating funds for juvenile justice programs.
The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children will utilize this funding to support its 20th Annual Colloquium. This is a nationally recognized conference for law enforcement, prosecution, social workers, child advocates, therapist and medical professionals who work directly with child victims. Delivering OJJDP training and programs in this setting is a cost effective means of promoting best practices and effective collaboration among partnering agencies who support this event. NCA/NCF
