The Title V Community Prevention Grants Program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice system and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
The State of Texas Office, of the Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD) has indicated the intent to sub-award 100% of its FY 2011 Title V Community Prevention funds for local delinquency prevention efforts. CJD will solicit applications that propose comprehensive, research-based approaches to delinquency prevention with a specific emphasis in the area of gang prevention. Remaining funds of awards from previous years will be combined in support of a three-year funding commitment to a single new Title V grantee. NCA/NCF
