Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $50,000)

The Title V Community Prevention Grants Program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.

The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) is the designated state agency for Title V funding. The LCLE will use the FY 2011 Title V funding to support two delinquency prevention continuation projects. Project activities are coordinated through local Law Enforcement Planning Councils in eight regions across the State. Outcome measures relative to the services to be provided will be selected from the appropriate Title V program area and reported on by sub grantees on a quarterly basis. Performance measurement data will be reported to OJJDP annually. NCA/NCF
