The Title V Community Prevention Grants Program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
The Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) administers the State's Title V Community Prevention Grants award. The State will utilize FY 2011 funding to support one community based project. The Across Ages Mentoring Program strives to increase protective factors including resiliency enhancement for at-risk youth to prevent, reduce, and/or delay their engagement in alcohol and other substance abuse. Quarterly progress reports which include performance measures are used to determine progress on goals and objectives. NCA/NCF
