Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $30,000)
The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) will utilize grant funds to help support an annual training conference to include 175 workshops, panels and/or plenary sessions. Under this initiative, NADCP will provide training sessions for family dependency drug courts and juvenile drug courts, including, but not limited to sessions reviewing the latest Juvenile Drug Court research, Family Drug Court research, evidence-based treatment approaches, Reclaiming Futures, sustainability, drug testing, supervision, working with families, how to start a juvenile drug court or family dependency treatment court, and incentives and sanctions. NADCP will measure the success of achieving the goals and objectives of this project through the distribution, collection, and compilation of onsite and online surveys, designed to collect data on attendee satisfaction; presenter knowledge; session applicability; and practice implementation.
