Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $300,000)
The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.
Nevada's Department of Health and Human Services will award EUDL funds to seventeen local prevention coalitions, which will help with the selection of law enforcement strategies that best meet the needs of their community. Other activities supported by the coalition include: server training, reward projects, and ensuring media coverage of law enforcement and community prevention events. Law enforcement operations include: compliance checks, third party purchases, party patrols, special events control and fake identification intervention. NCA/NCF
