The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

Michigan's Designated State Agency, the Michigan State Police, will use EUDL funds in a multi-dimensional approach of prevention, education and enforcement. Innovative training will be provided to law enforcement officers on monitoring social media websites to gain information on underage drinking consumption habits, where they obtain alcohol and when and where parties will be held. Law enforcement officials will also focus on underage drinking parties, special events and partnerships with retailers.
