The City University of New York and Temple University will design and implement a
comprehensive process and outcome evaluation of OJJDP's Community-Based Violence Prevention Demonstration Program (CBVP). Researchers will begin by collaborating with OJJDP and four CBVP sites to generate the local data necessary to assess site performance and to monitor implementation of CBVP logic models. In addition, three supplementary components will be assessed: process and transferability to measure site success, outcome analyses of the effects of CBVP on youth, and a quasi-experimental impact analysis of the four CBVP sites.
