Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $400,000)
This program is a collaboration between OJJDP and the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking (SMART), and is authorized by the Missing Childrens Assistance Act, 42 USC § 5773, and 42 USC 13941.
This program will fund the Children's Aid and Family Services (CAFS), Wynona's House Child Advocacy Center and Children's Hospital at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center's Metro Regional Child Abuse Diagnostic and Treatment Center (RDTC) to provide a community-based program in Essex County, New Jersey for youth, ages 10 to 14, with sexual behavior problems. Victims and families will also receive services. The goal of this program is to prevent sexual re-offenses.
