This program is funded under the authority of the Providing Resources, Officers, and Technology to Eradicate Cyber Threats to Our Children Act of 2008, (42 USC 17601-17611, et seq.)(the PROTECT Act).

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) will provide overtime pay to GBI investigators to work nights and weekends on investigations of cases involving commercial sexual exploitation of children. Additionally, GBI will use funds to train all ICAC/CSEC affiliates and prosecutors on conducting investigations and how to properly and appropriately deal with child victims. GBI will also use funds to support CSEC undercover operations, to include renting hotel/motel rooms for surveillance and/or meeting locations for potential victims.
