OJJDP FY10 Title V Community Prevention Grants Program

This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.

The Department of Health and Social Services is the designated State agency to receive Title V funds in the State of Alaska. In FY 2010, the Department anticipates that it will continue funding for 1 sub-grant in Seward and another in the native community of Kenaitze.
