FY 2010 Title V Community Prevention Program

This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) is the designated State agency to receive Title V funds in the State of Washington. DSHS will be pairing FY 2010 Title V Community Prevention Grant funds with Title II Formula Grant funds to support one new community based project to reduce the number of youth of color entering the juvenile justice system.
