Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $84,945)
This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
In FY 2010, Montana anticipates that it will provide continuation funding to one subgrantee. The State will give priority for new awards to applicants that demonstrate the ability to develop data-driven prevention plans and employ evidence based strategies for the following purpose areas: (02) Alternatives to Detention; (22) Native American Programs; (09) Delinquency Prevention; (10) Disproportionate Minority Contact; (11) Diversion Programs; and (19) Juvenile Justice System Improvement.
